My Lakers’ Christmas Wishlist

Bummi Anderson

Here’s to 2021 and its impending departure. Personally, the year can’t end fast enough. For a Los Angeles Lakers’ team who had such high hopes for a championship run, the last three months have been anything but exciting. I thought the 0-6 preseason record was a fluke, but the  team has been…well, can I be frank? Consistently inconsistent. Bad. Mediocre. Underachieving. Despite the obvious bad start, I believe in miracles. There are a few things I’d like Santa to bring the Lakers:

10) Kendrick Nunn playing

9) For the love of all things basketball, Frank Vogel, please stop playing Russ & Rondo together!

8) Make them free throws, gentlemen!

7) Better rebounding

6) Increased utilization of Dwight Howard…

and less usage of DeAndre Jordan. Why is DJ even on the floor?

5) A defense that continues to improve

4) Lebron James continues to defy Father Time

3) A healthy Anthony Davis

2) Silence all haters

1) Beat the Nets on Christmas Day

Merry Christmas. Happy Holidays. Here’s to a prosperous 2022, Laker fans!

If the Lakers can hit on half of these we’ll be in good shape for the new year.
